Pin your location
The last step of the wizard, and the one that most often refuses to let you finish.
Maaru needs four things before an ad can go live: country, district, city and an address on the map. Miss any one of them and the ad will not post — so it is worth doing this deliberately rather than in a hurry.
Setting your location
Step 1: Open the Location step. It is the last one, after your photos, category and details are in.
Step 2: Choose country, then district, then city. They cascade — the city list only fills in once the district above it is set.
Step 3: Set the address on the map. You can search for a place or drag the pin. This is the field people most often skip, and it is required.
Step 4: If posting is refused, read the message: it now names the one field that is still missing rather than telling you to select a location.
What this cannot do
- The pin is shown to buyers as an area, not as your doorstep. Even so, do not drop it exactly on your home if you would rather meet elsewhere — put it on a nearby landmark.
- Changing the location later means editing the ad, which sends it back for review.
Watch out for
- Leaving the map untouched after picking the city. The city dropdown and the map pin are two separate requirements, and satisfying one does not satisfy the other.
- Pinning a location far from where the item actually is, to appear in a busier area. Buyers who travel and find otherwise will say so in a review.
